We are excited to have your family join us as you begin our kindergarten program. Please watch the Kindergarten Orientation video below.  It will review many important topics that will help you and your child prepare for their first day of school on August 6th.

After watching the video, you may have additional questions or things you may be wondering about before the school year starts.  You can use the Padlet linked below to help get your questions answered.



To access the Padlet, please click this link and you will have an opportunity to add your information and will receive a response directly on the Padlet.  The Padlet is accessible to all our incoming kindergarten families and will be actively monitored to provide feedback between July 25-August 4.  Your question just might help someone else!

Moving forward, you will be receiving communications through our ParentSquare email messaging system.  I encourage you to download the ParentSquare application and sign-up for Jensen Ranch and CVUSD messages.  This is the primary form of communication from Jensen Ranch and CVUSD to our families.  I also encourage you to subscribe to the Jensen Ranch Google Calendar which can be found on our Jensen Ranch website.  Subscribing to the calendar will ensure you are up to date on all events as well as schedule changes that occur during the school year.  Our school website will be updated next week so a follow-up email will be shared to ensure you are receive the correct link to subscribe to our Jensen Ranch Google Calendar.

You should have received a message from CVUSD regarding the annual online Aeries Parent Portal registration process that opened Wednesday, July 23rd. Registration is an annual activity that takes place before school each year to ensure your student & family information is current and up to date. Our walk-through registration will be on Th., July 31st and you will be printing out and submitting several required district and site forms to begin the year.  If you are going to be out of town for our walk-through registration, you will be able to either make an appointment to stop by the office to drop off the documents OR you can designate a friend or other family member to attend the walk-through registration and turn in your paperwork. Registration must be complete for your child to begin the school year.

Tentative Kindergarten class placements will be available around Fri., Aug. 1st through the Aeries Parent Portal.  The first day of school is Wed., August 6th and kindergarteners will get out at noon for the first two weeks of school in order to attend after-school initial assessments.  You will receive more information about the afterschool initial assessments after August 4th.  Our kindergarten team will use the first two weeks to complete the initial kindergarten assessments and get to know our new students.  During this time, the kindergarten team may determine that adjustments to initial student class placements need to be made to support each student's best learning.  Final kindergarten class placements will be made no later than Monday, August 18th and families will be notified by their classroom teacher of any changes.

Combination classes have long been a successful part of Jensen Ranch, helping us thoughtfully respond to yearly shifts in student enrollment. These classes, which blend two consecutive grade levels, are led by experienced teachers skilled in meeting a wide range of learning needs. Students placed in combination classes are typically collaborative, independent learners who benefit from a close-knit, family-like classroom environment. Many families appreciate the rich learning opportunities, leadership development, and sense of community these unique classrooms provide.  Mrs. Reneau is experienced at teaching the K/1 combination and is looking forward to the year ahead.

 Debería haber recibido un mensaje de CVUSD sobre el proceso de inscripción anual en línea al Portal para Padres de Aeries, que se inauguró el miércoles 23 de julio. La inscripción es una actividad anual que se realiza antes del horario escolar para garantizar que la información de su hijo/a y su familia esté al día. Nuestra inscripción presencial será el jueves 31 de julio y deberá imprimir y entregar varios formularios requeridos por el distrito y la escuela para comenzar el año escolar. Si va a estar fuera de la ciudad para la inscripción presencial, podrá programar una cita para pasar por la oficina a entregar los documentos o puede designar a un amigo o familiar para que asista a la inscripción presencial y entregue la documentación. La inscripción debe estar completa para que su hijo/a comience el año escolar.

 Las asignaciones tentativas para kínder estarán disponibles alrededor del viernes 1 de agosto a través del Portal para Padres de Aeries. El primer día de clases es el miércoles 6 de agosto y los alumnos de kínder saldrán al mediodía durante las dos primeras semanas de clases para asistir a las evaluaciones iniciales después de clases. Recibirá más información sobre las evaluaciones iniciales después de clases después del 4 de agosto. Nuestro equipo de kínder dedicará las dos primeras semanas a completar las evaluaciones iniciales y conocer a los nuevos alumnos.
